I had to provide a statement of my Southern legitimacy to submit to this journal! Here's what I referenced. As Flannery O'Connor put it, "Whenever I'm asked why Southern writers particularly have a penchant for writing about freaks, I say it is because we are still able to recognize one."
Hallo darlings! Pleased to note that a poem, "The Flight Back" will be included in the Fall (November) issue of The Dead Mule. A piece of flash fiction entitled, "Freedom," will also be in an upcoming issue.
